Whilst there are lots of versions available - In the studio we use the 18" from Neewer so can attest that it works great with first hand experience. Here are some more of the available ring lights from Neewer
Or wand light: Another product we use in the studio, and on location both the Neewer and the Phottix t200r. With the Neewer basics products starting under £30, Godox starting from under £70 and the Phottix often on sale for less than £40. Great for adding colour and atmosphere to video projects. Great for our YouTube content & on location shoots where space is limited and I want light weight travel kit.
We love a bit of atmos at Musselwhite Photography studios, if you have seen our images, tutorials content ...you will know this already. This is the mini product we currently use.
Once you've chosen a camera brand as a photographer it tends to stick for life. All of my camera bodies and lenses are Canon and have been since my first purchase. Canon L Series F4 24-105 is my go to lens. Check the Canon Store for refurbished lenses too My biggest investment is always in my lens choices.

Having Strong Tape on hand, especially on location where anything can happen. Also yes we have used it in the past to fix a groom's trousers!
Whether you need to attach a backdrop, anchor a stand or hold back a curtain, clips and clamps are invaluable.
From crocodile clips and carabenas to some heavy duty clamps you'd be surprised at how handy these can be.

Keeping your kit clean is really important and having your DSLR cleaned & serviced professionally is well worth it. In the mean time having a kit on hand to remove dust or hairs is the next best thing.
There are many on the market, we use the Calibrite Colorchecker in studio to be sure colours are vibrant and real. As part of the workflow its a simple tool for aligning colours - and knowing you have a trusted baseline to create from.
